Top Maps and Navigation Apps in Hungary: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top maps and navigation apps in Hungary showcased varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 7.3K at the beginning of April and peaking at approximately 10.4K by the end of June. The app maintained a robust base of weekly active users, beginning the quarter at around 802K, dipping slightly mid-quarter, and closing with nearly 900K users.

BudapestGO experienced consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 6.4K to 9.7K, with a notable peak in June. Active users ranged from 608K to 732K, showing fluctuations but a general upward trend by mid-June.

Bolt: Request a Ride recorded a steady increase in downloads, starting with 4.2K and reaching up to 6.5K. Active users climbed from 115K to 126K by mid-June, indicating a growing user base.

Uber - Request a ride showed a steady rise in downloads from 4.2K to a peak of 8.9K in June. Active users also increased significantly from 25K to nearly 47K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Menetrendek.hu maintained a stable download rate, ranging between 2.2K and 2.6K. Active users showed some fluctuation, starting at 120K, peaking at 151K, and ending at 126K.
